Description
Figurine complète de la déesse Isis-Fortuna en argent massif doré, haute de 3,7 cm, d'un poids de 8,88 g. Elle repose sur une plaque servant d'embase, large de 1,35 cm, profonde de 0,9 cm. La déesse est debout, une corne d'abondance (cornucopia) reposant au creux de son avant-bras gauche, replié à l'horizontale vers l'avant. De sa main droite, baissée, elle tient une rame de gouvernail dont le manche est cassé. Probablement pour des raisons de solidité, un fin ergot de métal soutient le bras. #La déesse est vêtue d'un long chiton et d'un himation noué sur son épaule droite, sans n'ud entre les seins. L'himation forme un pli transversal au milieu du corps et s'arrête au-dessus des genoux. Un pan retombe derrière l'épaule gauche. Isis, dont les cheveux sont roulés en bandeau attaché sur l'arrière de la tête, est coiffée du modius surmonté du basileion. La partie sommitale de celui-ci est cassée, ce qui ne permet pas de décider de la présence éventuelle de plumes. Des traces nettes de la dorure sont visibles sur la coiffe ainsi que sur la rame et la corne d'abondance.#Le type appartient à celui de Isis-Tychè. Les analyses révèlent le caractère exceptionnel du métal employé.#La figurine d'Isis constitue un des tout premiers témoignages des cultes nilotiques dans la vallée du Rhin
