Description
Urne circulaire sur pied. Fond percé. Signé Henri Fouque. Décor floral circulaire. Feuilles de grand feu au même emplacement sur les deux vases de la paire : bleu, vert de chrome, vert épinard, marron de grand feu. Fleurs au petit feu différentes sur les deux pièces. Dorures végétales : épis de blé, saules pleureurs, feuilles diverses, roses et fleurs, nervures des feuilles au grand feu. Liseré doré au col et au pied. Intérieur sans couverte. Un manque de matière (couverte + dorure au col) Quelques bulles sur le vert sapin. Le bleu de cobalt au grand feu a vaporisé.

Concernant cette pièce : FOUQUE : Toulouse, 1798 ; Toulouse, 1871 ; issu de la lignée de faïenciers Fouque et Arnoux, originaires de Moustiers-Sainte-Marie (Alpes-de-Haute-Provence). Fondateur de la manufacture en 1830, il succède en 1849 à son neveu Léon Arnoux à la tête de la manufacture de faïences et porcelaines de Saint-Gaudens/Valentine (Haute-Garonne). Il la dirige jusqu'en 1864.
