Musée municipal de l'Avranchin
Le musée municipal de l'Avranchin est un établissement muséal labellisé, installé à Avranches (Manche). Son histoire : Le premier musée, crée en 1835, par la société locale d'archéologie dans l'ancien évêché, fut anéanti par un incendie en 1899.
Un second musée, réinstallé dans l'ancien couvent des Capucins, disparaissait sous les bombardements de 1944. Depuis 1963, un troisième musée est aménagé dans les locaux désaffectés de la prison et de la gendarmerie, anciennes dépendances de l'évêché.
