Description
Corbeille en cuivre martelé, incrusté d'étain, patine brune, à trois pieds. (description Lansyer) Grande vasque chantournée présentant trois pieds en forme de têtes de lions bouddhiques ou de chimères. Sur la panse à la surface martelée et à la patine brune se développe un décor ciselé et doré de couple de lions bouddhiques parmi les pivoines, association classique dans l’art chinois et japonais. Le rebord chantourné est souligné par un bourrelet et par des ferrures en forme de fleurs. L’intérieur de la vasque arbore un motif ciselé de grosse pivoine, peu visible à cause des traces d’usage. Cette vasque présente un décor similaire avec une paire de candélabres issue de la même collection (OA.COLL.1893.34 et 1893.35), avec laquelle elle constituait une garniture.
