Description
Sculpture en haut-relief en faïence fine. Suzanne de Babylone se tient dans un élément d'architecture composé de deux colonnettes portant un arc en plein cintre avec archivolte décorée de rinceaux. Ses cheveux sont longs, relevés en chignon et certaines mèches tombent sur ses épaules. Seins nus, son bras droit est remonté sur la poitrine et sa main gauche tient un drapé de couleur pourpre qui cache le bas de son ventre. A sa droite, au pied d'un arbre fruitier, deux têtes de vieillards sont dissimulés. A sa gauche, un pavillon aux grandes arcades est évoqué. La jeune femme repose sur un piédestal large qui laisse son drapé s'étaler. Une inscription composée de plusieurs lettres de l'alphabet arabe est gravée en relief, dont la fin est masquée par le drapé.
