Description
Calcaire sculpté. 'Cippe parallélépipédique, creusé d'une niche à arc plein cintre, retombant sur des pilastres surmontés de chapiteaux. Le fond de la niche, orné d'une coquille, abrite une femme dont les cheveux fins tirés à l'arrière sont séparés par une raie médiane et passent derrière les oreilles pour retomber sur la nuque en grosses boucles. Son visage est très symétrique, une ride de chaque côté du nez lui barre les joues. La bouche est charnue et les arcades sourcillières saillantes. Cette femme est vêtue d'une tunique et d'un manteau court. Elle tient devant elle, de la main gauche une mappa de grande taille, et de la main droite un gobelet... Cette femme est robuste ; elle est presque intacte. Le gobelet et la serviette qu'elle tient devant elle suggèrent la boisson et les victuailles... Ce cippe a une partie supérieure en pyramide, presque en toit de maison, élément qui nous parvient rarement, et qui peut nous donner une idée des élévations de monuments funéraires.'
