Description
Scène représentant une femme à genoux, les bras écartés et mains ouvertes, le regard tourné vers l'angle supérieur gauche. Elle est vêtue d'une robe brune, portée par-dessus une chemise blanche visible aux avant-bras, et serrée à la taille par une ceinture en étoffe. Une cape rouge a glissé sur le sol. Elle est coiffée d'un long foulard brun couvrant les épaules et noué au niveau de la poitrine. Sa tête est surmontée d'une auréole lumineuse. Au-dessus d'elle, dans l'angle gauche, au sein d'une nuée lumineuse, deux angelots en vol la regardent, celui de gauche tenant une palme. Au deuxième plan, à droite, un drap rouge brodé de motifs végétaux dorés est enroulé autour d’une colonne cannelée. La base de celle-ci repose sur un parapet qui se prolonge vers la gauche. Au premier plan est figuré un pavement blanc et noir à motifs géométriques. Une perspective s'ouvre au centre, à gauche de la composition, vers un paysage arboré et bâti, sous un ciel bleu et nuageux.
