Caractéristique de cet art minimal et de l’utilisation de la bichromie, la lithographie envoyée par Pierrette Bloch à Charles Eric Siméoni reprend un thème récurrent du travail de l’artiste soit, sur un fond blanc, la juxtaposition de points noirs - ici au nombre de quatre - formant une courte ligne horizontale. C’est durant les années 1990 que l’utilisation de ce motif aboutit aux « lignes de papier », grandes bandes de largeur et de longueur variables sur lesquelles elle répète, à l’encre de Chine, un point ou un trait. Ainsi, et quelque soit la technique employée, le même geste est répété à l’infini créant rythme et musicalité. Soucieuse de saisir l’essence même de l’art, le point, la ligne et les rapports établis avec la surface selon le matériau utilisé ont constitué pendant plus de soixante ans le fondement du travail de Pierrette Bloch.
