Sculpture en pierre calcaire avec restes de polychromie. Informations données par Monsieur Rat : calcaire oolithique blanc très fin, qui n'est pas caractéristique de la région Bourgogne, proche de l'oolithe miliaire (aspect d'un grain de mil dans la structure). ; Saint Eloi est représenté en maréchal-ferrant, debout, de face et derrière une enclume posée sur un établi. Il porte un chapeau et est vêtu d'une chemise blanche recouverte d'un pourpoint à crevés laissant apparaître la chemise. Ce pourpoint est lui-même recouvert d'une robe ceinturée à la taille. Saint Eloi a le visage baissé vers la droite. Il tient, de la main gauche, une patte coupée de cheval posée à plat sur l'enclume, tandis que son bras droit est levé. Sur le devant de l'établi sur lequel est posée l'enclume, sont représentés les outils nécessaires à son métier : de gauche à droite, un boutoir, des tenailles, un fer à cheval et un brochoir. Le dos de la statue est entièrement sculpté de façon à ce que la pièce puisse être vue de tous les côtés.
