Description

cire, tissu, fil métallique, papier, paillettes de verre, mousse, fleur séchée, verre ; Boîte en verre reposant sur un socle de bois doré à quatre pieds ronds. Au centre deux personnages en cire sur un rocher : Abraham, représenté âgé portant une barbe blanche, richement vêtu et Isaac, à la chevelure blonde, portant un tissu sur son épaule droite et ceignant ses hanches. Abraham est tourné vers le ciel le bras droit en l'air qui devait tenir l'épée, aujourd'hui au sol, où apparaît un angelot aux ailes dorées. Isaac est dans une attitude orante, agenouillé sur un tas de bois qui devait lui servir de bûcher ; non loin, le fourreau de l'épée et un seau qui contient du combustible. Derrière lui un bélier est empêtré dans des branchages. Trois moutons paissent paisiblement ; à l'arrière un renard qui court. Cette scène s'inscrit dans un décor très chargé de végétaux, de fleurs (oeillet, muguet, immortelle...).
