Description

Une route de terre zigzague dans le quart inférieur droit du tableau, elle disparait dans la forêt en avançant vers les montagnes à l’arrière-plan. Au bord de cette route, au centre de la toile, se trouve un groupe de personnages formé d’un homme debout et de deux femmes assises. Un panier et un baluchon sont posés à côté d’eux. Dans la moitié gauche du tableau, derrière les personnages, deux maisons sont visibles à travers les arbres, la cheminée de l’une d’entre-elle fume. Des arbres et des rochers ponctuent la composition, le ciel est bleu et nuageux.
