Description
Boîte vitrée avec cadre en bois doré. Scène de l'assomption de Vierge sur trois niveaux. Partie inférieure : Sur un tertre flanqué de deux grands vases avec bouquets de fleurs de verre émaillé et de coquillages, onze apôtres vêtus à l'antique entourent le lit de la Vierge. Partie centrale : Soutenue par deux anges, accompagnée de neuf chérubins, la Vierge monte au ciel. Ses pieds reposent sur des nuages en coquillages bruns et or. Partie supérieure : Dieu le Père en majesté vêtu de bleu et le Christ portant sa croix. Douze anges musiciens acueillent la Vierge au son de leurs instruments: contrebasses, violoncelles, alto, violons, haubois, trompes. Le fond de la boîte et les côtés sont recouvert de miroirs.
