Le support sur lequel il peint n'est pas visible sur la toile. Ce support est posé sur un bureau dans et sur lequel est rangée une série de pinceau et de papier. Il porte son traditionnel chapeau, des lunettes, une barbe courte et une veste marron boutonnée. Derrière lui une grande fenêtre.
