Encadré. Ce portrait est inspiré de l'archétype de la miniature de la Bibliothèque Laurentienne. Toutefois, si l'on trouve toujours la pèlerine, la tête serrée par le capuchon et couronnée de laurier, le travail de gravure reste sommaire sur le bas de la capuche et le surplis. Le visage connaît un net rajeunissement. La couronne de laurier est très prononcée. La gravure est annoncée comme "collection de la Sorbonne" alors qu'elle fait partie en réalité d'une publication sur Les galeries historiques de Versailles avec une série de portraits dessinés par Louis-Etienne Guemied et fravée par Ephraïm Conquy, spécialiste du portrait et auteur de quinze planches pour les Galeries de Versaille précédemment citées.
