Description
Petite croix latine (pattée) en ivoire réalisée pour être portée en pendentif. À sa base, un support relativement grossier pourrait faire penser à l'évocation d'un calvaire. Toutefois, ce support est techniquement important pour le maintien de la croix par le tabletier lors de sa fabrication. Le fait que la perforation destinée à enfiler la croix dans un collier soit cassé, évoque un objet inachevé dont le support de production n'aurait pas été détaché. Un examen du support montre des traces de perforations identiques à celle de la croix. Nous pouvons en déduire que ces petites croix étaient produites deux à deux, dos à dos.
