Personnages au balcon est une pièce de beaux-arts, peinture réalisée par Alix Yves (1890-1969), au musée des beaux-arts. Alix Yves (1890-1969) a utilisé ici toile, peinture à l'huile. Ses dimensions sont H. 38.5, l. 48, P. 5.5 (Avec cadre + verre anti-reflet) ; H. 24, l. 33 (Sans cadre). Cette pièce remonte à la 20e siècle. Concernant cette pièce : Yves Alix (19 août 1890, Fontainebleau - 22 avril 1969, Paris) intègre l’Académie Julian à Paris avant de rejoindre en 1909, l’Académie Ranson où enseignent Maurice Denis (avec lequel il décorera le Théâtre des Champs-Elysées en 1912), Pierre Bonnard, et où ses compagnons sont Roger de La Fresnaye, Edouard Goerg, Louis Latapie. Il y devient lui-même professeur de dessin en 1918. Dès 1912, il participe au Salon des Indépendants. Après un début figuratif, il s’intéresse dès 1913 au cubisme. Cubiste bien tempéré, il est un exemple caractéristique de l’Ecole de Paris de l’Entre-deux-Guerres. Durant les années 1920 et 1930, son œuvre est marquée par un retour à un certain classicisme aboutissant à une période expressionniste puis à un attrait pour la nature. A partir de 1946, la couleur claire, la construction et la simplification du trait marquent son travail durant trois décennies. Il réalise également des décors et costumes de théâtre (œuvres de Molière, Henri Bernstein, Shakespeare, Ravel, Wagner), des décorations murales pour les Hôtels de Ville de Saint-Mandé, Poissy, Puteaux, pour le paquebot Normandie, pour un pavillon de l’Exposition Internationale de 1937 et pour l’hôtel la Colombe d’Or à Saint-Paul de Vence. Il dessine des maquettes pour le Mobilier national, des cartons pour des tapisseries de la manufacture des Gobelins et pour celle d’Aubusson.
