Carte postale présentant les généraux Joffre et Castelnau disposant en ligne des soldats sur un jeu à damier ; les lignes de soldats avançent et mettent en échec des lignes de soldats allemandes ; un officier allemand dont on ne voit que la tête et la main s'apprête à poser lui aussi ses soldats. Timbre rouge à 10 centimes, tampon à date encreur. Au verso, correspondance à l'encre noire de J.R.H. à ses cousins, le 10 février 1915.
