Description
Image composée en trois plans successifs. En avant, deux hommes au pied d’un palmier observent l’ascension d’un troisième. Le but de cette image semble être celui de montrer comment ces hommes se servent de leur pagne pour s’aider dans leur ascension arboricole. Ainsi, voit-on au premier plan comment la bande de toile est passée sous les fesses et, au second plan, comment, avec la main droite, cette bande est hissée vers l’avant pour soutenir le corps. En situation de cueillette, les jambes restent suspendues dans le vide, ,les bras accochés au tronc de l’arbre.
