Description

Mme de Mortsauf en buste teinté, cheveux attachés en chignon, yeux en amandes, buste monté sur un piédouche. Il est réalisé en plâtre plein, sans armature. Le piédouche est peint dans une teinte ocre rose. Le buste, quant à lui, est partiellement recouvert de vernis ou de gomme-laque. Les plages de plâtre nu correspondent parfois à des lacunes, mais essentiellement à des reprises au plâtre, appliquées sur le vernis. Ces reprises au plâtre témoignent vraisemblablement du travail de recherche de l'artiste.
