Description
Terre blanche. Figurine incomplète ; 6 fragments recollés. Type 4 de Pistillus Déesse-mère assise dans un fauteuil en vannerie avec accoudoirs horizontaux et haut dossier. La nourrice allaite du sein droit un enfant (déjà grand !), vêtu d'une courte chemise, assis sur sa cuisse droite. Le nourrisson a les pieds posés sur la cuisse gauche de la nourrice, les genoux légèrement fléchis. Il pose sa main droite sur le sein largement dégagé qu'il tête. La nourrice est coiffée d'un chignon remonté vers l'avant et divisé en deux volutes symétriques. La vannerie du dossier est répartie en trois panneaux. Celui du centre comporte 11 bandes verticales. Elle est reprise à la pointe mousse horizontalement en haut à gauche et verticalement au centre, sur toute la hauteur, par quatre sillons fins. La perforation correspondant à un trou d'évent, est située dans le plan de joint, en bas à gauche. Celui-ci très large a effacé une grande partie du décor et probablement une partie de la signature. Signature incomplète P ISTILLV /, le P étant placé sur le côté, en avant du plan de joint, sur la partie antérieure.
