Description
Buste du Père Goriot en hermès, tête penchée à droite. Le tirage en plâtre est plein. Il est recouvert d'un vernis de type gomme-laque. Une légère trace de couture latérale est perceptible. Des traces de râpe sont également visualisées sous le buste. Le noeud de foulard est repris en plâtre sur la gomme-laque (on retrouve un peu de plâtre également sous le buste). Sur la gomme-laque également, le visage est repris à la terre (on retrouve un peu de terre également sous le buste). Ces deux reprises sont ébauchées. Ainsi sur le noeud, les volumes ne sont pas lissés et les reprises à la terre, notamment au niveau du nez, sont sans réelle cohérence. Elles témoignent vraisemblablement du travail de recherche de l'artiste.
