Description
Modèle de navire en ivoire sculpté. Voiles carrées rainées. Balustres et canons tournées. ; Socle en bois teinté noir, avec pied en bronze sculpté ouvragé à décor de fleurs ; Pieds du socle en bronze doré ouvragé ; (Cuénot) : Vaisseau. Coque, mâts, voiles et cordage en ivoire. ... Les cordages sont torsadés et les voiles auxquelles ne manque pas un raban ne sont pas seulement (et ce n'était pas si mal) de fines lamelles d'ivoire cintrées, elles sont aussi bombées par le vent. ; Trois ponts, 122 canons. Les voiles portent des ris, sont finement bordées ; certaines sont ferlées dans les haubants, notamment sur le mat de misaine. Sur le pont, les personnages sont en ligne. A l'arrière, une lanterne colorée en rouge et un drapeau tricolore teinté ornent le château. Une chaine borde le socle de la maquette. (Conférence) Voilure (17 voiles au total, dont 12 ouvertes) moins développée mais sublime par la finesse et la variété : rainage pour figurer la fabrication en bandes (Seulement noté sur une ou deux voiles du Ville de Dieppe), voiles enroulées, ferlées pour égouttage et séchage auprès des mâts dans les haubans. Personnages et scènes de vie peu animés : apparemment le bateau rentre ou sort du port vent arrière, légèrement tribord et les hommes regardent de part et d'autre du navire. Le plus armé 124 canons : vaisseau. Éléments techniques moins précis ou enjolivés à bord (cabestans)
