La maison Roullet-Decamps est avant tout connue pour ses automates. Fabricant de jouet, automates, poupées animées, animaux mécaniques etc.. Fondée en 1860 par Jean Roullet, Installé depuis 1867 au 10 rue du Parc-Royal à Paris, dans l'Hôtel de Vigny. Spécialisé dans les animaux mécaniques recouverts de poils, de daim etc. Automates et animations de vitrines (vitrines de Noël des Grands Magasins). La production a continué jusqu'en 1988. De nombreux modèles et documents ont été déposés au Musée National de l'Automate de SOUILLAC dans le Lot. ROULLET-DECAMPS dépose deux brevets pour les bébés marcheurs, dont "l'intrépide bébé" pour lequel JUMEAU fabriquera une tête.
