Vêtue d'un voile transparent, elle est allongée sur le flanc droit, le bras droit glissé sous la tête. Devant elle sont disposés un globe terrestre, un compas, une boussole, une équerre, ainsi qu'une palette de peintre accompagnée de pinceaux.
