Scène biblique représentant un groupe de personnes au premier plan. Sous une architecture en ruines, une femme nimbée (la Vierge) est assise au centre, tenant sur ses genoux un enfant nimbé (Jésus). À la droite de la femme se tient un homme barbu, également nimbé. Au pied de la femme et de l'enfant, un homme barbu et grisonnant est agenouillé, baisant la main de l’enfant qu’il tient dans sa main droite. De part et d’autre de ce groupe central se tiennent quatre autres personnages, représentés debout. À gauche au premier plan un homme nimbé, coiffé d’une mitre, tient un livre ouvert et une pelle à four avec trois pains ; derrière lui, un homme d'âge mûr, coiffé d'un chapeau, porte un calice. À droite, au premier plan, un homme nimbé, vêtu d'une soutane noire, tient une crosse et un livre ; derrière lui, un homme noir est représenté. À l’arrière-plan, à gauche, un paysage de collines se dessine d'où se distingue un ange dans le ciel, au-dessous d’un troupeau de mouton et de leurs bergers.
