Description
idiophone. Les sanza ou pianos à pouces africains sont originaires d’Afrique centrale. Elles sont composées de lamelles métalliques fixées sur une caisse de résonance. La gamme de sons, riche et expressive, accompagne les chants, les danses et les récits. La sanza présentée ici comporte une planchette évasée en acajou noirci, terminée en boitier bourré de laine, et ornée au sommet d'une tête expressive portant en écharpe des perles de pacotille bleues et rouges. Un axe transversal en fer appuie sur huit lames métalliques.
