Présentation générale : Caisse en érable vernis de couleur sunburst. Chevalet réglable. Cordier en acier chromé. Deux micros. Quatre potentiomètres de réglage et interrupteur. Plaque de protection en mélaminé noir. Manche en bois dur noirci (érable ?). Touche en palissandre. Etui. L’année 1958 marque le début d’une période de nouvelles orientations pour la firme, attentive aux progrès technologiques comme aux demandes du marché. L’ES-335 présente deux innovations qui feront date : ses deux pans coupés et sa caisse semi-solide divisée en deux par un bloc central en bois qui supporte les micros, le chevalet et le cordier. Ce modèle sera particulièrement apprécié des bluesmen. N° de série : numéro de série 960559 estompé sur le dos du chevillier.
