Description
Ce fragment de barbe, sectionnée juste sous la tête, est à mettre en relation avec une statue qui ornait la chapelle du château-résidence de Mehun. Cette barbe devait s'étaler plus bas que le cou, sur le vêtement du personnage, une composition qui se rapproche de la tête dite Dutar, conservée au département des sculptures du musée du Louvre et des têtes de Mehun et de Bourges. ##À rapprocher stylistiquement de deux des cinq prophètes conservés au musée du Berry à Bourges (Cher) et du “Beau-Dieu” de Nonette (Puy-de-Dôme).
