Description
Au droit : Tête à droite avec chevelure faite d'une rangée de 5 coques bouletées, avec au-dessus, épis semés de 4 ou 5 perles ; oreille non apparente ; oeil de profil ; nez bouleté au bout et à la base , bouche faite de 2 points. Amorces de dauphins peu visibles. Grènetis partiel devant le visage. Au revers : Cheval galopant à droite, avec crinière bouletée, queue à dents de scie, pattes aux jointures bouletées. Inscription : COVRA, sur un trait, entre les pattes et NTILLOS partant du bas de la queue jusqu'au sommet de la tête. Les lettres sont bouletées. L'inscription doit se lire de bas en haut. COVRANTILLOS et non ANTILLOS-COVRA, le N de l'inscription supérieure n'étant pas barré pour formé AN Type Savès 457, Dico DCR-293, très rare. Frappe légèrement décentrée au droit masquant la bouche et le cou. Au revers, la légende est légèrement incomplète. Marie-Laure Le Brazidec, 2016, d'après une notice initiale de Vincent Geneviève. ; Les lettres sont bouletées. L'inscription doit se lire de bas en haut. COVRANTILLOS et non ANTILLOS-COVRA, le N de l'inscription supérieure n'étant pas barré pour formé AN Type Savès 457, Dico DCR-293, très rare. Frappe légèrement décentrée au droit masquant la bouche et le cou. Au revers, la légende est légèrement incomplète. Au sein du groupe des monnaies à légende latine, ce type est le plus courant mais la série reste particulièrement rare, puisqu'elle n'est actuellement recensée que par une vingtaine d'exemplaires.
