cuirasse en fer repoussé et doré ; "Pour faciliter le mouvement, une armure de samouraï est faite de plusieurs éléments adaptés à chaque partie du corps. Sur ces plastrons, trous et charnières permettent ainsi de relier la plaque de fer au dos de la cuirasse, aux épaulières et à la jupe d'armes. Le décor est orné de dragons, créatures de bon augure au Japon et destinées à protéger le guerrier tout en impressionnant l'adversaire." (F. Rubiella, 2020) ; "Cette pièce d'armure en fer sont ornées d'un dragon, motif caractéristique de l'art japonais. Maître de l'eau et du ciel, le dragon est en Asie une créature serpentine aux pattes griffues, dépourvue d'ailes. Souvent associé au mal en Occident, il est décrit en Orient comme un animal de bon augure, ayant un rôle protecteur.
