Description

Laque du Japon. Coffret à couvercle bombé de type kamaboko-bako (les petits côtés adoptent la forme courbe du couvercle).. L'apparition des objets nanban s'accompagne d’un nouveau type de laque combinant marqueterie d'écailles de nacre (technique du raden) au laque noir (urushi) rehaussé d’or (technique du maki-e). Les décors les plus fréquents sont des végétaux (glycines, vignes, fougères…), des animaux et des motifs géométriques.
