Description

Le modèle de la cheminée n° 20 apparaît dans l’album de 1867 des Fonderies et manufactures Godin-Lemaire. Il figure encore dans le catalogue de la manufacture en 1903. L’appareil, abondamment décoré, est conçu pour brûler la houille et le coke. La combustion peut être contrôlée en abaissant ou en relevant devant le foyer le souffleur, monté sur coulisses et crémaillère. L’exemplaire conservé au Familistère de Guise est en fonte ordinaire. Le souffleur et la corbeille à combustible ont subi les effets de la chaleur dégagée par le foyer. Il lui manque le cendrier.
