Cénotaphe en calcaire d'Asnières sculpté et peint, avec des plaques en marbre noir portant des inscriptions en lettres dorées. Informations données par Pierre Rat : pierre calcaire à fine granulométrie (test à l'acide chlorhydrique positif sur les drapés de l'ange senestre) et épitaphes en marbre noir présentant des fissures ramifiées et en épaisseur (filonnets de calcite, à ne pas confondre avec des griffures). Le marbre noir ne semble pas bourguignon. ; Cadre architecturé à deux registres, en calcaire d'Asnières recouvert d'un badigeon blanc, contenant deux plaques de marbre noir inscrites en lettres d'or. Le registre inférieur repose sur une console ornée d'une tête de mort ailée sur deux os croisés et comporte des volutes et guirlandes sur les côtés. L'entablement est orné de feuilles d'acanthe : il sert de support à deux anges assis portant des draperies. L'ange de gauche tient un livre ouvert dans sa main gauche, tandis que l'ange de droite tient une coupe dans sa main droite levée et un coeur dans sa main gauche baissée. Une palme s'élève sur chacun des côtés du registre supérieur. La corniche est ornée de feuilles d'acanthe. Le registre supérieur comporte une dédicace en latin sur une plaque de marbre noir. Le registre inférieur comporte une dédicace en français, également sur une plaque de marbre noir, ainsi que sur les montants, en dehors du cadre, deux courtes inscriptions en latin sur une plaque de marbre noir.
