Description
Jean Charles Cazin est un peintre, graveur et céramiste français, formé à l'École impériale de dessin à Paris en 1862. A partir de 1876, ses œuvres principalement composées de peintures de paysages et d'histoire, sont régulièrement exposées dans les salons parisiens. A cette époque, J-C Cazin retourne vivre dans le Pas-de-Calais dans sa propriété d'Equihen. Il étudie la nature environnante et réalise ses premières scènes religieuses. Il revient surtout à une peinture plus actuelle, sentimentale, humanisée de sa région natale.
