Description
Portrait en buste du Maréchal Pétain de trois-quarts, presque de profil, sur une assiette à fond blanc. La figure historique porte sa tenue militaire de maréchal. Le portrait est réalisé en bleu en chromolitographie. Sur le bord de l'assiette cinq filets du même bleu forment une bande interrompue par cinq étoiles rouges. Ce décor de bande est réalisé à la main. Une légende a été placée sous le personnage : il s'agit d'un extrait du discours prononcé par le Maréchal le 20 juin 1940 annonçant l'armistice à venir entre la France et l'Allemagne. Le motif est inspiré d'un portrait officiel mais légèrement retravaillé car le personnage apparaît presque en profil. Le style est moderne.
