Description
Sur la lèvre, cercles concentriques autour de l'ouverture. Sur l'épaule, frise de languettes. A la base de l'aryballe, dans un cercle brun, languettes. Sur la panse, entre deux filets bruns, trois oiseaux. Dans le champ, rosettes. Mathieu Scapin ; Pâte beige légèrement rosée. Décor brun et pourpre difficile à distinguer. Incisions. Sur le plat de l'embouchure, restes de cercles concentriques autour de l'ouverture. L'anse devait être décorée de bandes brunes, la tranche devait être peinte. Sur l'épaule, une série de languettes qui rayonnent à partir de la base du col, légèrement inclinées vers la gauche. Sur la panse, entre deux filets bruns, 3 oiseaux semblent picorer dans un champ plein de rosaces : deux sont tournés vers la droite, l'autre vers la gauche, le détail des becs, yeux, ailes et plumes est rendu par des incisions peu sûres et grossières, qui stéréotypent cette frise animalière. À la base de l'aryballe, prise dans un cercle brun, autre série de languettes développées rayonnantes et incurvées vers la gauche, partant d'un noyau central assez épais ; un trait plus dilué sur le côté des godrons donne du relief à chacun. Petit aryballe rond sans pied (cr. type B1 de Payne ?). Décor orientalisant mais stéréotype, rappelle la fin du corinthien ancien.
