Description
Cette allégorie de l'amour représente l'union maritale. Il s'agit de la gravure de l'un des quatre sujets composés par Véronèse autour de l'amour. La figure féminine assise sur un globe couronne l'épouse qui tient avec son époux un rameau d'olivier. Un putto enchaîne littéralement le couple afin de symboliser leur union et le chien qui se tient en bas à gauche dans la composition signifie la fidèlité.
