Atlas in-folio de 32 planches relié en maroquin rouge aux armes de l'empire de Russie. Dessins à la plume rehaussés d'aquarelle des vues des intérieurs et extérieurs de Chantilly. Offert par Louis Joseph de Bourbon, Prince de Condé, au grand-duc Paul de Russie, futur Paul Ier lors de sa visite au château de Chantilly. C'est sous le pseudonyme de comte et comtesse du Nord que le prince de Condé reçoit à Chantilly, le 10 juin 1782, Paul de Russie et son épouse Maria Feodorowna. Cet atlas fut réalisé pour le couple qui avait été ébloui par les beauté de Chantilly et envoyé en Russie en 1784. Il restera dans les collections impériales du palais de Gatchina jusqu'aux ventes par les Soviets des collections et de la bibliothèque des tsars. L'Institut de France, propriétaire du Chantilly fait l'acquisition de l'atlas en 1930 afin qu'il intègre les collections du musée Condé. L'auteur de cet atlas n'est pas connu, la commande n'apparaît pas dans les comptes de la maison de Condé. Henri Malo, conservateur du musée Condé en 1937, proposa le nom de Chambé qui fut collaborateur de J.F Leroy l'architecte du prince de Condé.
