Description
Visage humain surmonté de 7 pics, le tout en bois noirci. La prtie supportant les pics se prolonge par une pointe de part et d’autre du visage ; seule celle de gauche subsiste. Front important bombé, teint en noir, à patine luisante. Visage triangulaire, nez partant sous le front, avec une arête médiane, des narines bien dessinées. Les 2 yeux ne sont pas sur la même ligne, la bouche est ouverte avec 2 lèvres épaisses. Les oreilles sont proéminentes, de part et d’autre de la base du front, et ne respectent pas l’anatomie humaine.Sur les côtés, des lignes incisées. Il apparaît que le masque a porté un enduit que l’on sent latéralement, le bois n’étant pas complètement lissé. Le masque a également porté des attributs qui étaient fixés dans le bois, dont une plaque au milieu du front dont il subsiste les trous de fixation, 4 autres arrondis sous les yeux. A l’arrière, 6 trous de suspension et un crochet en métal. (J.Rivallain, 1992)
