Description
Le grand coffret, parallélépipédique, possède deux poignées latérales et ferme avec une clé. Il contient neuf petits cassetins, 3 jeux de 13 cartes (tous complets), un damier pliable et 22 cartes en cuir. Les neuf cassetins sont gravés d'un chiffre romain. Le cassetin I contient 90 jetons en nacre numérotés et est creusé, dessous, de 15 emplacements à jetons ; le cassetin II contient un jeu de 28 dominos en nacre ; le cassetin III contient 52 jetons de nacre en forme de poissons (32 grands et 20 petits) ; le cassetin IV contient 43 jetons de nacre en forme de poissons (24 grands et 19 petits) ; le cassetin V contient 11 pions de nacre en forme de dauphins ; le cassetin VI contient 16 pions d'échecs en nacre ; le cassetin VII contient 16 pions d'échecs en ambre ; le cassetin VIII contient 250 jetons ronds en nacre teintés en rose, bleu et jaune ; le cassetin IX contient 40 jetons ronds (20 en nacre et 20 en ambre). Le petit coffret, en forme de cube, contient 61 jetons circulaires et couronnés. L'ornementation des coffrets a été réalisée suivant une technique d'application de nacre sculptée sur fond de nacre, à la manière d'une résille.
