Description
Ce tapis, également appelé Boukhara pakistanais, se caractérise par ses analogies avec les tapis Tekké Boukhara. En effet, le champ est divisé en rectangles formant un fin quadrillage noir où figurent des rangées de gül alignées parallèlement et perpendiculairement. Le gül de forme octogonale est divisé en quatre par de fines lignes, créant ainsi un effet miroir. Ces gül principaux alternent, sur un champ de couleur ivoire, avec des rangées de motifs secondaires en forme de croix appelés « gül tchemtché ». Les bordures sont ornées de motifs géométriques (en forme de « X », des losanges divisés par une ligne verticale, des losanges en dents de scie...). Deux bandes plus hautes, imitant la bande de kilim nommée « alam », prennent place sur les côtés courts du tapis et sont ornées de losanges en forme de peigne, on retrouve également le « gül tchemtché ». La gamme chromatique est essentiellement composé de rouge, de marron, de noir et d’ivoire.
