Description
Le champ uni est ici dominé au centre par un médaillon hexagonal, tandis que quatre écoinçons reproduisent en partie son décor. Le motif « hérati », extrêmement répandu en Orient, est composé d’un jeu complexe d’éléments floraux qui sont répétés à l’infini sur toute la surface de ce médaillon. Ce dernier représente un jardin clos de murs, oasis de verdure et de fraîcheur perdu dans l’immensité d’un désert de sable suggéré par le fond uni jaune safran. Pour les populations dont le cadre de vie est un paysage aride et sauvage, le jardin est assimilé au Paradis terrestre mais aussi rappelle l’évocation du Paradis d’Allah promis aux musulmans dans le Coran. Noué main, laine, nœud symétrique (ghiordès), 20 nœuds au cm2.
