Description
Tapis de prière. Niche à prière ou à mihrab, le mihrab ici à degrés. Ghiordès reconnaissable à la former trapue et carrée de la niche, plus bandes de bordures décorées d'éléments floraux stylisés. Et, bordure çublukli (typique de cette production), elle représente les 7 marches qui mènent au paradis. Ce tapis de prière à champ orienté se caractérise par une niche mouchetée de petite dimension, au format presque carré. Le mihrab prend la forme d’un « V » renversé en escalier peu prononcé. On note l’absence de colonne, et la traditionnelle lampe de mosquée est remplacée par un œillet géométrique et stylisé. Cette fleur orne également les deux planches situées au-dessus et au-dessous du mihrab. Le pourtour interne de la niche est décoré de tulipes stylisées. La bordure « à çubukli » est composée de sept bandes étroites jouant sur une opposition chromatique blanc-brunâtre, ornées de petits motifs disposés en quinconce. La bordure externe présente des lys stylisés. La couleur « vert amande » typique de cette production reste exceptionnel dans les tapis de prière orientaux car le vert est la couleur de l’Islam, du prophète et du paradis musulman, la foulée au pied est inadmissible pour le fidèle.
