Arme à aiguille pourvue d'une culasse mobile et d'une crosse à joue, le levier d'amement est droit et se termine par une boule, la monture est d'une seule pièce avec une grenadière, une capucine et un embouchoir, le canon rond est à 4 rayures au pas de 0,73 m, la hausse est à cran de mire fixe avec un évidemment en demi-lune, les organes de visées sont règlés pour une distance de 225 à 375 m, l'arme n'a plus qu'un seul battant de bretelle INTERPRETATION DES INSCRIPTIONS : Sur le canon g., le numéro de matricule. Boîte de culasse g., ND pour Niklaus Dreyse.
