Description
porcelaine tendre, décor bleu en émail sous couverte ; Vase forme cornet décoré en camaïeu bleu, haut et bas de lambrequins découpés, orné en réserve, dans le haut, de rinceaux de style chinois et dans le bas, d'animaux fantastiques également en réserve. Entre chacun de ces lambrequins se détachent des cartouches trilobés contenant des animaux marins. A la partie médiane, quatre fleurons à quatre branches. Inspiration sino-hollandaise. ; Forme cornet. Décor de broderies en lambrequins d'inspiration sino-hollandaise, à motifs animaliers en réserve, disposé en système rayonnant à la base et au col. L'oeuvre date de la 4e quart 17e siècle. Informations complémentaires : manufacture de Saint-Cloud : 1677 ; 1766#MANUFACTURE DE SAINT-CLOUD : 1664/1766 : faïence 1693/1766 : porcelaine tendre. Le privilège pour la fabrication de la faïence accordé en 1664 à Claude Révérend fut cédé en 1666 par celui à son frère François Révérend, cité pour avoir fourni des faïences à Versailles; en 1674, la fabrique fut louée à Pierre Chicaneau qui mourut en 1677; l'entreprise fut alors continuée par ses fils et par sa veuve, née Coudray; celle-ci se remaria en 1679 au faïencier nivernais Henri Trou et racheta en 1683 l'établissement et le privilège; la manufacture dut sa protection du duc d'Orléans à Henri Trou; à partir de 1706, Berthe Coudray fut associée avec ses fils Pierre Chicaneau et Henri II Trou; ce dernier reprit l'affaire de 1722 (date du renouvellement du privilège) à 1746 et eut pour successeur son fils Henri François Trou; ce dernier prit un associé Edme Choudard des Forges en 1764 et fit faillite en 1766 après avoir perdu le privilège.
