Pistolet de Gendarmerie modèle 1822 T à silex transformé à percussion sur capsules fabriqué par la manufacture royale de Châtellerault en 1836. Canon en fer poli blanc, à pans au tonnerre puis rond, il porte sur le côté gauche deux poinçons ' C ' entouré de deux étoiles dans un hexagone et ' T ' entouré de deux étoiles dans un hexagone, du côté droit reste de date ' 18 ' en partie cachée par la masselotte rapportée et soudée, le pan latéral droit est marqué ' MR '. Queue de culasse gravée ' Mle 1822 '. Platine à silex transformée à percussion sur capsules, corps gravé ' Mre Rle de / Châtellerault ' et au-dessus poinçon ' D ' surmonté d'une étoile dans un ovale. Chien à percussion à crête striée. Monture en noyer à fût court dégageant le canon, insculpée sur le côté droit de la poignée ' 36 ' (ancien inventaire GIAT), ' C ' couronné derrière la queue de culasse, du côté de la contre-platine ' M ', ' C ' couronné, ' MURG ' et macaron marqué ' . C . / 9 BRE / . T . / 1836 ' et au centre ' MR ', poinçon à identifier sous le fût, peut-être ' N '. Garnitures en fer poli blanc, capucine (embouchoir) à bride latérale gauche, contre-platine en esse, plate, calotte, pontet et sous-garde.
