Description
Bassin d'aiguière oblong en "nacelle" en faïence fine jaune orangé, de style rocaille (style régence / Louis XV) inspiré de l'orfèvrerie à décor moulé. Bassin de forme oblong à paroi galbée qui s'évase vers le haut sur un bord chantourné à lèvre évasée. La paroi ondule en sortes de godrons. Décoré sur tout le pourtour et symétriquement de cartouches baroques et médaillons à coquilles supportant des motifs floraux et végétaux. Trois médaillons sur chacune des faces ; celui du centre en forme de cartouche est encadré de palmes en arceaux et de volutes surmontées d'une coquille et agrémentés de fleurs et fruits. Les deux autres encadrant une coquille sont surmontés d'une branche de mimosa en fleurs. - A chacune des extrémités du bassin, dans un décor en gerbe d'ajonc de fleurs et de mimosa se trouve un cartouche encadré de coquilles, volutes, palmettes et frise ondulée. Le bassin trouve son assise en six points ou pattes formées par des découpes irrégulières au pourtour du pied suivant les volutes au bas du décor moulé. Fond intérieur plat. Estampille sous le fond extérieur plat et en creux.
