Description
La robe est constituée de deux pans de tissu cousus ensemble avec une couture verticale dans le dos. Techniquement un vêtement sans manches, la robe couvre néanmoins les bras lorsqu'elle est portée car les largeurs de soie utilisées dans la confection sont suffisamment larges pour dépasser les épaules jusqu'aux poignets.#Toute la partie externe du vêtement est richement décorée. Le décor à l'arrière est intégralement brodé. Le décor sur le devant est brodé et tissé. Le décor le plus important se trouve à l'arrière de la robe parce qu'il est vu par l'audience du rituel pratiqué par le prêtre.#Soie brodée en application : filés or, soies polychromes, rubans de papier doré. #Le tissu de fond est du satin de soie pour le dos et les manches ; de la soie damassée pour le devant (partie non brodée). Les nuages, animaux et autres symboles sont brodés avec la technique du "needle loop" sur du papier ou du papier doré et appliqués sur le satin de soie. La doublure est un damas de soie très lâche, rose. Cette doublure n'est pas d'origine. Les emmanchures sont doublées de soie façonnée jaune.#Bon état. Les parties du vêtement se trouvant au niveau des épaules et du col sont très usées et nécessitent une intervention. Le décor brodé présente de nombreux soulèvements de papier ainsi que des fils flottants. La dernière restauration de la robe date de 2008 (rapport d'invention disponible dans le dossier d’œuvre).
