Description
Ce costume est constitué d'une veste en coton en damas vert bronze, à décor de broderies violettes et bleues sur les manches, les épaules, le col, l'ouverture avant, le bas des pans à l'avant et à l'arrière, et d’une jupe plissée en coton noir avec application de rubans rayés dans les tons de violet.#Ces vêtements sont exécutés à partir de pièces de coton et de soie. Le tissu est teinté à l'indigo, tour à tour trempé puis baigné dans des décoctions de feuilles, puis battu avec un maillet en bois sur une pierre plate. La teinte mordorée vert bronze est obtenue par battage répété d'indigo brun avec adjonction de gentiane (ou du permanganate de potassium) sur la pierre utilisée pour le battage.#Les vêtements sont ensuite brodés au fil de soie dessinant des motifs floraux ou géométriques. La jupe en coton est montée sur ceinture. Les plis de la jupe sont réalisés selon deux procédés possibles : soit la pièce de tissu est placée autour d'un tonneau en bois ou d'un panier et fixée par des cordes, les plis mis en place régulièrement arrosés d'amidon et séchés au soleil ; soit des lignes sont tracées à l'ongle sur le tissu empesé d'amidon et séché au soleil, après quoi la pièce est pliée de manière très serrée autour d'une canne de bambou, passée à la vapeur puis séchée.#Bon
