Description
Grande verseuse rouge à anse lobée. Son décor est simplement composé d'un motif de chrysanthème à la base du bec verseur et de deux bandes concentriques en relief sur sa panse.#Cette verseuse est un laque Negoro, un assemblage d'éléments en bois recouvert d'une couche de laque rouge vermillon posée sur une couche de laque noir, procédé décoratif employé principalement sur des objets de culte Shintô et bouddhiques, mais aussi sur des objets de décoration, des écritoires et de la vaisselle.#La dénomination de Negoro trouve son origine dans le nom d'un temple bouddhique de la province de Kii (actuelle préfecture de Wakayama) le Negoro-ji où les moines fabriquaient ce type d'objets pour leur propre usage durant l'époque de Muromachi (XIVe - XVIe siècle) jusqu'à la destruction du temple par les armées de Hideyoshi en 1585. #Les verseuses en laque Negoro, à la différence des plateaux ou des bols en laque Negoro, sont peu nombreuses en raison de la difficulté de travail qu'elles impliquaient. La forme complexe peu adaptée au travail du bois est en effet une transposition de pièces en métal. Le terme ancien pour désigner ces verseuses est d'ailleurs "dobin" (bouteille de métal).
